Tapd In ("we," "our," "us") provides a shared project calendar for general contractors and their clients/subcontractors. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1.Information We Collect

From Owners (contractors) who create an account:

Name, email address, and password (managed via our authentication provider)
Project/calendar data you create: phases, milestones, dates, notes
Photos and videos you upload to document project progress
Contact information you add to your guest address book (names, emails, phone numbers of clients/subs)
Billing information, if you subscribe to a paid plan (processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers)

From Guests (clients/subcontractors) accessing via invite link:

No account or password is required to view a calendar
If you choose to comment or post photos (when permitted by the Owner), we collect the content you submit
If you opt in to notifications, we collect your email address and/or phone number solely to send you update alerts
Basic technical data (device type, browser) for functionality and troubleshooting

2.How We Use Information

To operate the calendar, phase, and media features you use
To send notifications (email or SMS) you have opted into, alerting you when a project calendar is updated
To process subscription payments, if applicable
To maintain, secure, and improve the service
To respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3.How We Share Information

We share data only with the service providers necessary to run Tapd In:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
Twilio — SMS notification delivery
Resend — email notification delivery
Stripe — subscription payment processing

These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for other purposes. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Tapd In, our users, or the public.

4.SMS Notifications

If you opt in to receive text message notifications, we use your phone number solely to send you updates about the project calendar you have access to.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except as necessary to deliver the messages themselves (e.g., our SMS delivery provider, Twilio).

Message frequency varies based on activity on the project calendar you have access to — you will only receive a message when the Owner or another Guest posts an update, adds a phase, or changes a schedule. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by changing your notification preference in the app. Reply HELP for assistance.

5.Data Retention

We retain project data, photos, and videos for as long as the associated Owner account is active. Guests may request removal of content they submitted by contacting the Owner or us directly.

6.Your Choices

Owners can edit or delete calendar content, photos, and guest access at any time from their account.
Guests can opt out of notifications at any time.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email below.

7.Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted storage and secure authentication, to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8.Children's Privacy

Tapd In is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9.Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
